The Success & The Legacy

Vela is proud of the success we have achieved in providing essential services to children and adults with disabilities in the Villupuram district of Tamil Nadu. Our focus on providing instruction and training in accordance with each student's IQ, as well as our commitment to providing both residential and daycare services, has earned the approval of the Tamil Nadu state government.

We are the only school in Villupuram for children with speech and hearing impairments, as well as an early intervention center for young deaf children, and a center for autism, cerebral palsy, intellectual disabilities, and various disorders. We are also recognized by the government hospital in Villupuram, as well as private hospitals in Villupuram and Puducherry, and children with any kind of disability are referred to our institution.

In 2014, we were able to move our school to our own premises, which was a long-time vision of ours, with the support of our well-wishers. The Department of Differently Abled Affairs acknowledged VELA in 1994 and registered it as a society under Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act. Furthermore, the Government of India has given us 80G and 12A. We are located at No.1, Gingee Main Road, Sai Baba Nagar, Lakshmipuram, Villupuram District, Tamil Nadu.
